Manifesting
a Youthful Summer

The name of Social Affair is eponymous with Croffle and a brunch place. As the pioneer of the croissant and waffle mashed up, Social Affair is deemed as the place for socializing at brunch. This translates to tropical interior vibes in almost all of its locations, which some of it we helped design as well. But the new Social Affair in Senayan is set to open amidst the pandemic, it certainly poses unprecedented challenges, yet luckily the task of baking the interior, once again, falls into our kitchen.

We’ve concocted an interior that expands the meaning of tropicality and Social Affair overall identity into a youthful everlasting summer without being kitschy. The use of various patterns with earthy colors out of build materials for the floor injects youthful freshness that can be experienced by any age. Texture from woven materials, metal tubes, and glass blocks also play a crucial role in improving the tactility of the place and etching it to the memory of the visitors. 

The technical challenges were transformed into aspects of the interior, pendant lights were used to maintain the human level and warmth of the room, and the awkward space was turned into a sweet spot with soft-hued wall lamps. All of those aspects are met with simple shapes that outline the interior experience to create a modern yet universally eclectic dining spot. Maintaining the goal of an exciting place for relaxed leisure.
